My name is Sarah Longfield, I was born and raised in Madison Wisconsin and relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota to pursue my degree. I have two amazing dogs, I love making things, and find myself constantly in dissonance with clocks. 
 

As a furniture builder, I view household objects as keepers of memory. Your grandmother's knitting chair, a favorite blanket, the crooked lamp that perfectly illuminates a good book. These objects ground us and provide comfort. They watch us move through life and hold a place for our stories. This relationship embodies what I seek to convey through my studio practice.
